General Maintenance

Summary

The general maintenance employees will be responsible for all ground maintenance, track maintenance, building and facility maintenance, in addition to track response during events. The general maintenance employees will be required to maintain the facility at the highest standard to provide a safe and refined environment to the guests and staff.

Requirements:

  • Hours can be long and vary by week and event type. The candidate must be willing to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays and support our public events.

  • Ability to work several weekends and/or evenings

  • Ability to work with the Track Manager to ensure the facility is upkept to the highest standards for guests and events

  • Ability to work in different weather conditions, be in good physical conditions to perform heavy lifting and work with heavy equipment in a fast paced environment

  • Must have a valid driver’s license. This position requires the employee to drive company owned vehicles and operate various equipment.

 

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

 

  • General cleaning: restrooms, common areas, race center, media center, administration offices, ticket offices, fan zone, grandstands, etc.

  • Garbage removal and disposal

  • Ground maintenance: mowing and trimming grass, sweeping, leaf raking, etc.

  • Ensure the facility is ready to welcome guests, visitors and participants

  • Routine track maintenance: sweep the track with dedicated equipment when needed, maintain the spectator fences, etc.

  • Routine paddock maintenance: ensure that the paddocks are cleaned and ready for participants

  • General repair and maintenance of buildings, facilities and equipment

  • During events: in addition to the tasks above, be available for track response if need be (helping with vehicle extraction and tire-barrier repairs)

Qualifications:

Employees will be required to have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate various types of equipment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy objects. General maintenance employees must be proficient in time management, teamwork and have organizational skills.
